We make every effort to accurately portray the paintings in our photographs in size and colour but slight variations might occur

I enjoy creating layered acrylic abstracts, with scores of individual elements but that includes an underlying theme or message or image (albeit sometimes quite subtle!).  I'm influenced by the minimalism of a painter like Christian Hetzel.   Complex simplicity that gives order yet is so interesting to look at and fits so well in every environment.  Like looking at a forest and then seeing the thousands of individual trees.

Adding an occasional piece of pop art and some realism, many projects take me a while to finish.   And, I enjoy crafting larger canvases.  Subsequently, I don't carry a large inventory (so please keep looking here for new works! ).  And, I enjoy displaying many of the paintings in my home so you can view them on a real wall (and we can sip a glass of wine if you come have a look).

I  am Dutch born, raised in Alberta and now my home is in Owen Sound, Ontario.  In the summer I spend a good deal of my time in Tobermory; reading, kayaking, hiking and enjoying a glass of wine around the campfire.

My background is creative promotion and marketing, having been with both CBC and CTV television stations in Western Canada.  And, I spent a few years owning a winemaking business (which brought me to this lovely part of Canada).

"My goal is to mix in all the ingredients and then have you add your own imagination...rather than telling you what to see and feel."
